As predictable as the Sun rising in the morning, the Republicans, with Rubio at point, have preemptively dismissed President Obama's immigration reform plans. Let's face it, the Republicans were going to say no and be obstructionists at best anyways. As long as the border fence, snipers, and border security rhetoric is available, the Republicans will use it and do anything to preserve their relevance.
The only thing odd about Rubio's criticism and out-of-hand dismissal of the plan is the timing. I would of thought the Republicans would string this issue along awhile to continue testing the ignorance of the base versus the reason of reality. Instead, they slammed the door before the President even knocked. They must really be afraid of something. That something is the large portion of America that didn't come from the Mayflower and don't sit in corporate boardrooms.
